Official Minerals
Export Framework

To fulfill regulatory handling requirements prior to export out of Freetown, the joint process must strictly adhere to the legal protocols established by the National Minerals Agency (NMA) which includes;

24-Hour Notice ➔ Taxation & Valuation / Specific Gravity Test ➔  Certifications ➔ Declaration & Escort

Mandatory 24-Hour Notification:

A formal 24-hour notice must be submitted to the Director of the Precious Minerals Trading Directorate (PMTD).

License & Funds Verification:

The official gold assayer verifies the exporter's license and cross-references a bank statement or capital inflow to prove the legal source of funds.

Purity Determination (Assaying):

The raw gold dust or bars undergo analysis utilizing the Specific Gravity (SG) method or acid testing under the joint observation of the Exporter, National Revenue Authority (NRA) Customs Officer, and Senior Mines Monitoring Officers.

Valuation & Taxation:

The final value is computed using the real-time London Gold Fix. A statutory 3% export duty is levied based on the certified purity and weight as prescribed under the Mines and Minerals Development Act.

Secure Packaging and Sign-Off:

Once taxes are paid, the gold is captured photographically, placed inside a wooden box, wrapped, and physically sealed by all monitoring parties. An internal export certificate is then countersigned by the Ministry of Mines and Mineral Resources.

Security & Export Integration

Our affiliate, M&S Barete Gold Limited, [NMA certified] registered business in Freetown handle some of our briefs on gold export processing and government documentation, and we take care of specialized management of physical security and logistics risks.

Secure Custody Chain:

Transporting the mineral assets securely from interior extraction sites directly to localized testing facilities.

Vault Storage Retention:

Providing secure physical storage to prevent tampering or substitution between assaying cycles and final shipping phases.

On-Board Courier (OBC) Handover:

Deploying tailored hand-carry courier agents to guide the sealed asset package through airport checkpoints. This mitigates delays associated with standard commercial air cargo lines.
